Even though the chorus was changed to “Wet Wet Wet” to pass network muster, the song’s message of sexual empowerment remained clear. Kodak has been claiming Megan’s “drive the boat” phrase was started by him for months, but she’s refused to acknowledge him at all and says she came up with it on a whim after downing a few shots. Kodak Black and fellow Florida rap star YNW Melly have music on the way, but fans might be the only ones excited about it. KB recently took to social media to voice his frustrations with the track, only to be calmed down by Melly. Kodak went to his Twitter with a message about the song. The platinum-selling artist says whoever was engineering the track has him rapping off beat and that something has to be done about it. YNW Melly, who is currently behind bars on charges related to a double murder, responded and let it be known they’d get it squared away.

Kodak Black’s presidential pardon from Donald Trump doesn’t mean total freedom for the chart-topping star. KB still has to check in with a probation officer, but now he’s been approved to travel for work if he provides a full itinerary — including where he’ll be staying on the road.

Aiko came clean in more than one way in the post, sharing that she’s been working on getting sober the last few years and overcoming trauma associated with anxiety and self-doubt.

This past weekend, the six-time Grammy nominee hosted the Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony. Aiko was up for three Grammys herself this year: Album of the Year and Best Progressive R&B Album (Chilombo), and Best R&B Performance (“Lightning and Thunder” with John Legend).

Jhené Aiko will host the official Grammys pre-show, which will take place March 14th at 3 p.m. ET/12 p.m. PT and be streamed live on the Grammys’ website. Lil Baby Performs The Bigger Picture

The main purpose of Lil Baby’s performance was to draw awareness to police brutality. He performed hit song “The Bigger Picture” in front of a stunned audience, and it certainly seems he mostly got his point across. Some, however, were upset with the inclusion of Mallory and thought he would’ve been better off on his own performing the song.

“The Bigger Picture” won the BET Hip Hop Award for Best Impact Track and was nominated for Best Rap Performance at the Grammy’s this year, although it didn’t take home the victory. The June 2020 track from Lil Baby came following the death of innocent Black man George Floyd to police brutality and is one of the best protest songs in recent years.
