Wiz Khalifa Finishes In 3rd Place On ‘The Masked Singer’
Billboard Music Award winner Wiz Khalifa made it to the finals of “The Masked Singer,” and along the way the celebrity judges incorrectly guessed the man under the Chameleon costume was everybody from 2 Chainz to Gucci Mane to NBA star Dwight Howard. After finishing in third place, Wiz said on stage that he did the show mostly for his son.
“I’m a fun dad. I love to enjoy myself, I love to be myself, and as much as I can encourage (my son) to be himself and get into his imagination … I’ll be the best example of that.”
Hip-Hop + R&B Stars Featured On Season 5
Wiz Khalifa was joined on this season’s “Masked Singer” cast by R&B crooners Omarion (Yeti costume) and Bobby Brown (Crab). Always-busy rapper and comedian Nick Cannon hosted the show, as he’s done since its beginnings. The winner of Season 5 was pop singer/actor Nick Lachey.
For the uninitiated, the show is a top-secret singing competition. Hosted by Nick Cannon, and featuring panelists Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke, “The Masked Singer” features celebrities facing off against one another while shrouded from head to toe in elaborate costumes. Omarion Reveals The Horrors Of The ‘Masked Singer’ Costume
B2K front man Omarion was eliminated and unmasked during the semifinals. With his identity no longer a secret, he was able to spill the truth about what it’s like performing under the Yeti costume.
“It’s 60 extra pounds to perform in that,” Omarion revealed. “It was intense. A lot of people from the outside looking in don’t know how strenuous performing with a 60-pound costume. I automatically started thinking about all of the characters at Disneyland and how they have to put these outfits on and take these little breaks and stuff.” (Hollywood Life)
Nick Cannon’s Empire Keeps Expanding
