Chanel Beads, the expansive musical project of Shane Lavers, has announced his sophomore record, Your Day Will Come. The title serves as a direct follow-up to his 2025 album, which was also titled Your Day Will Come.
Despite the identical naming, this new collection is not a re-hash of his previous work, but an entirely distinct project. According to a press release, the decision to reuse the title was driven by the enduring resonance of the phrase, which evokes a specific tension between certainty and doubt that has preoccupied Lavers’s psyche throughout the creative process.

The track showcases Lavers’s signature pitched-up vocals layered over emotionally resonant instrumentation, including live drums, loose strings, and warped guitar textures. The lyrics navigate a complex landscape of despair and doggedness, maintaining a sense of raw, persistent hope.
The album was recorded with a host of collaborators, including violinist Zachary Paul and vocalist Maya McGrory (who releases music as Colle). Additional contributions come from Tchad Cousins, Mari Maurice (More Eaze), Anastasia Coope, Bella Litsa, and Isaac Eiger.
This new chapter follows a whirlwind period for the project. Following the critical adoration of his 2024 work, Lavers gained significant momentum, including support from Lorde, who tapped Chanel Beads to open for key dates on her North American Ultrasound Tour.
