Hitmaking label Top Dawg Entertainment, Quality Control, and Empire are taking charge of the musical future by investing in Riff, a music social media platform. The investment is just one of the many ways labels are transforming the music industry.
New Social Media Platform For Artists & Fans
Riff is a new social media platform that allows artists to talk with fans, create and monetize chat rooms, sell albums and merchandise. Quality Control executive Kevin “Coach K” Lee will join Riff’s board of directors team as part of the investment deal.
TDE, Quality Control Onto Big Things
Quality Control’s investment in Riff isn’t their first separate business venture. QC launched their own sports agency with the signing of New Orleans Saints superstar Alvin Kamara. TDE is also looking to the next chapter as Kendrick Lamar is set to leave the label after the release of his next album. The hip-hop powerhouse’s key bosses Anthony ‘Top Dawg’ Tiffith and president Punch addressed Kendrick Lamar’s final project under the label and expressed their support.
