Comments Off on Rihanna + A$AP Rocky Turn Heads At “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” Purple Carpet Premiere
Rihanna attended the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever premiere dressed in a floor-length beige Rick Owens dress paired with opera-length gloves with A$AP Rocky by her side. The “Fashion Killa” was dressed in a similarly hued but more casual denim jacket and draped pants.
In addition, the Fenty fashion mogul is also featured on the highly-anticipated sequel’s soundtrack with “Lift Me Up.” This will mark her first piece of music in six years since the release of Anti in 2016.
“Coming In Hot…”
Stars of the film were also in attendance. Like A$AP and Riri, Angela Bassett and Danai Gurira had coordinating ensembles as the two were dressed in purple. The Queen of Wakanda donned a Moschino dress, and the Dora Milaje general in a Robert Wun dress.
Writer and director Ryan Coogler shared:
“We worked with a lot of different cultural consultants. We were able to cast some incredible actors and just the physical of it, getting into the water. It was fantastic.”
Meanwhile, Judas and the Black Messiah and If Beale Street Could Talk star Dominique Thorne rocked a pink Prabal Gurung dress and teased what fans could expect from her character Riri Williams:
“She is indeed coming in hot. She’s coming with a lot of voice, a lot of passion about what means a lot. About wanting to protect her people and proving to the world that she’s worthy.”
