Legendary rapper Nas has been a busy man in 2022 with the announcement of a new album and a recent tour. The Queens-bred rapper also shared that he is executively producing a new documentary called The Invaders.

Memphis rapper and CMG Records boss Yo Gotti will also serve as executive producer alongside him.

The documentary will tell a story about a civil rights organization in Memphis during the 1960s called “The Invaders.” The group of activists was described as “militant” and worked with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. before his assassination in 1968.

Furthermore, Nas will also narrate the documentary. The documentary will be released on November 1 through the media company, Mass Appeal.

This is not Nas’ first directorial rodeo. He recently directed a docuseries on the 1980s New York crime mob, “The Supreme Team,” now streaming on Showtime.

The Queens rapper also appeared on screen with other prominent names to tell their rise and fall.
