It is revealed in an Instagram post made by the Canadian basketball team, Scarborough Shooting Stars, that J.cole will be joining the team for the new season as a guard.

In the comments, the official Instagram account of the Canadian Elite Basketball team commented “Welcome to the league @realcoleworld ?”

Fans of the “Crooked Smile” rapper were in a complete frenzy in the comments, as this news was highly unexpected.

The start of the CEBL season is two days away on May 25th, and will consist of 20 games per team before the play-off season.

This won’t be the first time Cole is playing professional basketball as he formerly was playing for the Rwanda patriots in the Basketball Africa League as a point guard.

The KOD artist single-handedly brought more exposure and attention to the Basketball Africa League than anyone else in the league’s inaugural season.
