Lala Anthony

The 2023 Met Gala was an unforgettable night of fashion, especially for the hip-hop industry. TV personality and actress Lala Anthony hosted the red carpet and stunned in a white Sergio Hudson gown paired with cat-eye sunglasses.

Rihanna & A$AP Rocky

Fashion’s favorite couple was the talk of the night, arriving last and leaving first. Rihanna wore a jaw-dropping, flowery Valentino ensemble, while A$AP Rocky was by her side in Gucci paired with a kilt. Recently, the fashion couple graced the cover of British Vogue with their bundle of joy.

Rihanna is also pregnant with her second child, revealed during her Super Bowl performance.

Teyana Taylor

Ms. Petunia never disappoints. She turned heads in her Thom Browne ensemble paired with a mesh headpiece, even though she couldn’t walk and had to hop up the Met Gala stairs. Teyana, who has a great eye for fashion and creative direction, also recently revealed that she’s “Big Energy” rapper Latto’s creative director.

Halle Bailey

The mermaid princess looked stunning in a white embellished Gucci gown with a matching shawl. Fans were amazed at how she managed to tuck her locks for a red bob-cut look.

Her stunning Met Gala appearance comes weeks ahead of The Little Mermaid premiere.

Cardi B & Doja Cat

While the two were photographed together, fans wondered if there could be a possible collaboration in the works.

Cardi B changed her look four times. First, she donned a black and white Karl Lagerfeld-inspired Chenpeng Studio ball gown look. Then, she wore a black and pink houndstooth twill Richard Quinn gown. Next, she changed into a pink embellished Miss Sohee gown with a matching headpiece that stole the show, and on her way to Diddy’s afterparty, she wore a newspaper-themed dress by Syndical Chamber featuring past breaking news about Lagerfeld’s past fashion moves.

Doja was literally a cat with prosthetics that lived up to her name. She also donned a white Oscar De La Renta gown that perfectly hugged her frame.

Lizzo

The “Rumors” singer looked amazing in a black Chanel gown accessorized with beautiful pearls draping down the ensemble. However, some fans commented that the look was giving First Lady of the Church vibes, wondering if it was the Pastor’s Anniversary gala.

Yara Shahidi

The Grown-ish star looked elegant and untainted, donning a beautifully detailed Jean Paul Gaultier dress.

Caresha & Diddy

City Girls’ Yung Miami was Diddy’s date for the Gala. Diddy debuted his revamped Sean John line on the red carpet, wearing a studded all-black suit paired with a matching dramatic cape. Caresha aka Yung Miami was stunning in a matching all-black ACT N°1 look.

However, she recently got candid about her relationship ending with Diddy, though they remained friends.

Lil Nas X

The “Oldtown Road” artist always takes risks. However, his silver Dior look seemed like a cross between Guardians of the Galaxy and Toshio Saeki from Scary Movie

Mary J. Blige

Ms. Mary J. Blige was rocking her iconic shoe choice, thigh-high boots, and as always she looked great. However, the ensemble looked more like Blueberry than Burberry.

Honorable Mention: Ice Spice

Emerging rapper Ice Spice turned heads in a white Balmain gown, though some fans commented that it needed a bit of alteration, giving a Fordham Road Easy Pickins vibe. Considering her recent SKIMS campaign, she could have used it for her Met Gala look.

Many hip-hop artists also appeared on the red carpet with their best looks at New York Fashion Week 2022, including Kanye West, Latto, and Lil Nas X. Other artists who were reportedly in attendance include 21 Savage, Megan Thee Stallion, and A$AP Rocky.
