Busta Rhymes does not like being touched without his permission–even if it is by a woman. Recently, the New York rap legend was caught on video throwing a drink in a female fan’s face after she slapped his butt.
“Touch It” rapper Busta Rhymes proved he stands firm and adamant on not wanting to be touched by fans. Perhaps, his message was not clear enough after he abruptly stopped his show in August 2022, when a crazed female fan reached her hand out to touch the New York native.
Respect Busta’s Boundaries!
A week after performing for hip-hop’s 50th anniversary at the 2023 Grammys, Busta, real name Trevor George Smith, Jr. was seen walking in an unknown location with his entourage when a fan reached over and slapped his butt.
The 50-year-old rapper immediately turned around and angrily hurled his drink at the fan.
The clip has since gone viral, with fans commenting on the tense interaction. One fan on TikTok said, “People need to learn manners and boundaries.”
Another commented, “Imagine if he done that to her…there would be a whole court case.”
The female fan, Nikita Mathis, later revealed herself and responded in a statement released to the Shade Room. Mathis stated:
“I didn’t mean to touch his behind honestly I was just happy to meet him and wanted a pic been a long time fan I admit I shouldn’t have touch [sic] him at all but he’s BUSTA. I felt like I could possibly get a pic.”
Coi Leray Kicks Fan Off Stage For Getting Too “Handsy”
Coi Leray does not like being touched by fans, either. In May 2022, the “Players” rapper kicked a male fan offstage after he touched her during her weekend performance in Las Vegas.
The video was met with mixed reactions online.
