The hip-hop community is very excited about Drake’s new surprise album, “Honestly Nevermind” – everyone except Quality Control artist Duke Deuce. The 30-year-old Memphis artist took to Instagram to let Drake know how much he didn’t appreciate him releasing an album on the same day as him.
He posted a video on IG in which he flippantly mocks Drake saying, “Hey my name is Drake, and i can just drop all over Duke Deuce album release.” He then addresses Drake and says, “Pfft, thought we was cool.”
Duke’s album is titled “Crunkstar” and is set to release on Friday, June 17th.
On social media fans felt like Christmas came early with the news of Drake and Duke Deuce both releasing albums tonight at midnight. On Twitter one user identified as @ChldishRicardo was excited about Duke’s album no matter who else might be dropping at the same time. He tweeted, “Man fuck Aubrey. Duke Duece drop tonight we crunkstars baby.”
Another Twitter user, @Stoney_Gonzalez showed love to both artists and is anticipating both releases tweeting, “New drake AND duke duece tonight. Lets fuckin gooooo.”
Duke Deuce was shocked with the rest of the world when Drake announced he will be dropping his new album tonight.
Drake left the hip-hop world shook after taking to social media to announce a surprise album dropping at midnight tonight. The ”Nice For What” rapper posted a photo of a graphic that read, “Honestly Nevermind,” which is the presumed title of his 7th studio album.
