Chopper, a former cast member of Diddy’s reality TV show, “Making the Band” was detained by Las Vegas law enforcement due to his involvement with sex trafficking.
Chopper is being extradited to Las Vegas from Maryland where he is currently incarcerated.
The reality star, whose real name is Kevin Barnes, was investigated by Las Vegas detectives when they discovered Barnes referenced pimping on his Instagram page.
A detective pretended to be a sex worker and contacted the rapper to verify if the pimping claims were true.
The officer was contacted by the artist after offering to become a prostitute for him. According to the detective Barnes then called for an ‘interview” to make sure the undercover officer was the right fit.
After the rapper approved, he then informed the undercover officer that she was approved to become a member of his “stable.”
According to TMZ, the former reality star told the officer to pack her belongings and meet him in Charlotte, North Carolina. When the officer failed to show, Barnes then got upset and demanded that he be paid $2,000. This was grounds for an arrest according to law enforcement.

The news of Chopper being arrested for sex trafficking spread like wildfire once the news broke online, many offered their opinion on the fallen star’s negative headlines. One Twitter user identified as @BombshellCole was one of the first to spread the word about the arrest on Twitter tweeting, “Y’all remember Chopper from Making The Band? Well, he was arrested for sex trafficking. That’s wild.”
Another twitter user identified as @franklykensan offered comic relief at Bad Boy CEO, Sean “Diddy” Combs expense tweeting, “Somebody said y’all gon blame Diddy for Chopper from Making the Band becoming a pimp and getting busted for sex trafficking… and” with a meme with AMC’s hit show “Breaking Bad” main character stating “You G**d*** right” on a meme.
This is just the latest of negative headlines from former Bad Boy artists. Las month, former Bad Boy lyricist Ma$e dropped a diss record aimed at P. Diddy right after former Da Band rapper Freddy P revealed that being signed to Diddy caused him to become suicidal.
Making The Band To Return
Barnes’ notoriety came as a cast member of MTV’s Making The Band reality show. During season two, Sean “Diddy” Combs held a competition to build a group for his Bad Boy Records label. Chopper was one of the six members chosen to form the group Da Band.
In 2019, Bad Boy Records CEO Diddy announced he would be bringing back his competition show “Making The Band”.
