Young Thug Asks Fellow Rappers To Support Africans In Ukraine

In the midst of turmoil and chaos in Ukraine, there apparently is still time for racism. Over the weekend, several videos went viral of black migrants being assaulted, deprioritized, and denied entry into neighboring countries, including Romania and Poland. In one viral video, a black girl is seen being pushed off a train by Ukrainian police as people were trying to escape the country.

Since then, social media has been ablaze as videos of such offenses and the hashtag #AfricansUkraine are being shared worldwide.

Atlanta artist, Young Thug, has responded that he is ready to take action. The YSL rapper took to his Instagram Story where he called upon his fellow rappers to help African students get out of the country safely.

“If some of my rap brothers are in I’m willing to help Africans get out of Ukraine however I can sense they not letting us pass” Thug posted on his IG story. “Who ever holds the info for these movements please contact me ASAP I’m ready.”

Cardi B and Gunna Speak On Ukraine

Young Thug isn’t the only rapper speaking out about the issues involving Ukraine. Cardi B also spoke out about the conflict – she made a video about this current situation and posted it to Twitter urging world leaders that war is not a solution.  The vociferous rapper said, “Wish these world leaders stop tripping about power and really think about whose really getting affected (citizens) besides the whole world is in a crisis.”

Gunna also spoke on Ukraine recently on Twitter. He tweeted, “We Pushing Peace #prayforUkraine”
