A 20-year-old man connected to the murder of slain rapper Tray Savage a.k.a. Kentray Young has an uphill battle ahead of him. New reports claim suspect Demitri Jackson was recently arrested on a murder warrant related to the June 2020 slaying of rap artist Chief Keef‘s associate.

According to reports, the bust went down in Fort Worth, Texas months after Savage had his life taken from him. Along with being behind bars, a Cook County judge denied bail and is making him appear in court this Friday.
Jackson’s private attorney, Thomas Hallock, had argued against denying his client bail, explaining that Jackson was cooperative with authorities and left Chicago only after his grandmother’s death from cancer last fall, the Chicago Tribune reported. But Judge David R. Navarro granted the prosecution’s no bail request, adding that Jackson faced natural life in prison if convicted of killing Young, who performed as Tray Savage and had been signed to the Glory Boyz Entertainment record label. Tray Savage Killed At 26
Tray had his life taken from him at just 26 years old. Savage was shot to death while reportedly driving in Chatham on the South Side of Chicago.
The 26-year-old had just dropped off his girlfriend in the 8100 block of South Evans Avenue about 11 a.m. when shots rang out, Chicago police said. Hit in the neck and shoulder, Savage continued driving, striking three cars, police said. His girlfriend rushed to the car and pulled him from the driver’s seat. Savage was then taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. (Chicago Sun Times)
