In 2018, Cook was struggling to pay his tuition and bills at the same time. He saw a tweet from Nicki Minaj asking if any of her fans needed help covering school costs. Cook took a chance and reached out to his favorite rapper, and a few days later, his tuition was taken care of for the semester.

“It really meant a lot to me, especially to my mom,” Cook told a local news station about Nicki’s generous act. He was able to pay the rest of his way through school and graduated this year, and now plans to go to medical school.
