SOHH.com had the opportunity to interview music mogul Vincent Herbert and R&B singer Atozzio

During the interview, Herbert called Atozzio a “great songwriter and talent” and mentioned his work with Chris Brown, Enrique Iglesias, and Lady Gaga.

Atozzio’s single “Feel Better” is currently #28 on the Billboard R&B charts. He says that heartbreak was what inspired the song and gave him room to be vulnerable, which he says is a struggle for Black men.

Later on in the interview, the singer said his grandmother is who inspires him to make music. According to him, she has supported him throughout his life and career.

Essence Is All-Around

It was a star-studded event at the annual ESSENCE Fest last weekend.

There were also surprises with Wyclef Jean and Lauryn Hill performing together after being estranged for years. The crowd cheered for their performance, and Wyclef voiced his support for Young Thug and Gunna, facing RICO charges.

Other notable performances from that weekend included Ashanti, Nas, Janet Jackson, New Edition, and Trinidadian singer Machel Montano.
