Ella Mai dropped a clip previewing the video for her song “DMFU.” From the title alone, it appears the song may be about love, loss, and revenge.
The single is dropping on Friday, Jan. 28. Ella surprised fans with the news, tweeting: “1/28. DFMU VIDEO.
9AM LA. 12PM NY. 5PM LDN.”
The 10-second montage shows Ella with her long, naturally curly hair in a scene snuggling and looking in love. The video clip teases a painful turn in the story from love to heartbreak and regret.
The songstress hasn’t dropped a full project since her self-titled 2018 debut album.
The “Boo’d Up” singer has posted some pictures of herself in the studio with Pharrell. She’s also working with musical legend Babyface.
Recently, Ella teased that her long-awaited album is on the way. When a fan on Twitter commented they needed some of her new music, Ella Mai replied: “My album is done.”
The British singer has dropped singles and features in the last couple of years, including “Piece of Me” with Wizkid and “Not Another Love Song.” Her debut album “Ella Mai” was certified double platinum last month.
