Drake’s Certified Lover Boy Album Updates Will Come From Only 1 Person

OVO Sound boss Drake would appreciate if you don’t believe the hype. Instead of listening to random rumors about the status of his upcoming Certified Lover Boy album, legit updates on the project will come straight from the rap icon himself.

Drake Will Provide Any Further Album News

Fans have been clamoring for Certified Lover Boy — Drake’s first album since 2018’s Scorpion — for months. Drizzy initially planned to drop the album in January 2021, but a knee surgery forced him to push that date back. Amid constant speculation from a variety of sources, OVO production team Night Owl Sound posted that Drake will personally deliver any more news.

“Anything CLB related will be posted by DRAKE himself. Until then hold a seat and wait on it.” (Night Owl Sound’s IG Story)

Drake Steals Spotlight W/ Super Bowl Commercial

Drake is serious when it comes to his acting chops. The rap heavyweight had the entire world watching him in a must-see State Farm Insurance Super Bowl LV commercial.

You’ve met Jake from State Farm, but have you met Drake from State Farm? The superstar rapper was one of two fun new editions to the insurance company’s roster of celebrity spokespersons, joining quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes in the State Farm 2021 Super Bowl commercial. The other special guest? None other than Paul Rudd. (People)

Lil Durk + Drake Low-Key Have More Songs

Recently, rap star Lil Durk went to his social media pages and kept things 100. After getting asked about more Drizzy joint tracks coming, LD didn’t shy away from confirming more tunes to come.

“We got a few he gang fasho,” Durk responded to the initial question of “#asklildurk can we expect another drake collab?”

Drake Hits Another Spotify Milestone

Without the benefit of a new album, Drizzy was still the most-streamed artist of 2020, earning over 5.5 billion streams. Just one month into 2021, Drake is already in the race for the top spot again — and he still hasn’t dropped any new music.
