Drake Salutes Former Degrassi Co-Star’s ‘Buss It’ Challenge: “Fit Is Museum Worthy”

Toronto rap crooner Drake is all here for his former co-star’s dance moves. He went online to applaud Cassandra Steele, who played Manny Santos alongside him on on Degrassi: The Next Generation when they were child stars, for her version of the recently viral Buss It Challenge.

Drake Shows Love To Former Co-Star

Drake took to Steele’s Instagram comments section with a nice salute referencing their old show, in which he starred as basketball star Jimmy Brooks. Drizzy let it be known he was digging Steele’s fit, in which she responded with “they’ll probably put it beside the ruby slippers.”

“For everyone who enjoys a good throwback outfit! #mannysantos#ugotthelook#bussitchallenge“

Drake’s Super Bowl Commercial

The OVO Sound boss is serious when it comes to his acting chops. The rap heavyweight had the entire world watching him in a must-see State Farm Insurance Super Bowl LV commercial. The new ad initially starts off with some high-profile NFL stars including past and present champions Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes. It doesn’t take long though before Drizzy hops onto the screen as a fictional stand-in.

You’ve met Jake from State Farm, but have you met Drake from State Farm? The superstar rapper was one of two fun new editions to the insurance company’s roster of celebrity spokespersons, joining quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes in the State Farm 2021 Super Bowl commercial. The other special guest? None other than Paul Rudd. (People)

Lil Durk + Drake Low-Key Have More Songs

Recently, rap star Lil Durk went to his social media pages and kept things 100. After getting asked about more Drizzy joint tracks coming, LD didn’t shy away from confirming more tunes to come.

“We got a few he gang fasho,” Durk responded to the initial question of “#asklildurk can we expect another drake collab?”

Back in August 2020, Drake and Durk teamed up for their “Laugh Now Cry Later” anthem.

Drake Hits Another Spotify Milestone

Without the benefit of a new album, Drizzy was still the most-streamed artist of 2020, earning over 5.5 billion streams. Just one month into 2021, Drake is already in the race for the top spot again — and he still hasn’t dropped any new music.
