Kanye West & Drake’s Larry Hoover Show Underway

A clip shared by CBS LA‘s John Schreiber shows the huge stage which is being built for the Kanye West & Drake unity show in support of incarcerated former Chicago gang leader, Larry Hoover.

Ye and Drake squashed their long-simmering beef just weeks ago by request directly from Larry Hoover.  The truce was brokered by J. Prince and took place at Drake’s Canadian mansion.

After the truce, the pair announced the Larry Hoover benefit concert.  However, besides raising awareness of Hoover’s case, it’s unclear how it will help his chances of getting released as he is serving multiple life sentences.

Hoover’s son, Larry Hoover Jr., is heard in a voice note on Ye’s new album ‘DONDA’ in which he discusses the cracks in the US criminal justice system.

Shreiber, who used a drone to capture the footage, said the buildout is so massive that he originally thought it was a monster truck rally setup:

“Massive build out tonight for the Ye (formerly Kanye West) and Drake concert set for December 9th at the LA Coliseum. Looks like a circular mound is being built with sand and concrete or stucco. At first, I thought this was a monster truck rally setup.”

Kanye And Drake Streaming Live on Amazon Twitch

Kanye West (now legally known as Ye) and Drake’s previously announced Free Larry Hoover Benefit Concert at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum will now be streamed live on Amazon Music, Prime Video, and the Amazon Music Twitch channel.

“Kanye has dedicated the benefit concert to raising awareness of the need for prison and sentencing reform and supporting legal reform and community advocates,” according to Amazon.

The show premieres on December 9th at 11 pm EST and will be available on-demand following the Twitch Livestream.
