After years of delays, loose singles, and few-to-no concrete details, Normani has announced her debut solo album. It’s called Dopamine, and while it doesn’t have a release date, Normani did share the project’s cover art on social media. See it below.

Normani has been working on the project since leaving the pop group Fifth Harmony in 2019. That year, she discussed the recording process for her FADER cover story: “I’m such a perfectionist. I want to make the wait worthwhile, especially for my fans, because they deserve the absolute best — but also, for myself. I’m never going to get the opportunity to drop my first album again.”

Since then, Normani has released a steady stream of singles. These include “Diamonds” featuring Megan Thee Stallion, “Wild Side” featuring Cardi B, “Fair,” and “Bad To You” featuring Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj. Her most recent song “New Money,” a collaboration with Calvin Harris and 21 Savage, was released in 2022.
