Jermaine Dupri Clarifies ‘Stripper Rap’ Remarks

There has been a lot said of Jermaine Dupri’s comments about female rappers but he wants to clear up what was and wasn’t said. TMZ got together with JD after seeing his interview with People which has received a lot of backlash especially from the music community.

He said some of the females in the industry right now sound like “strippers rapping” when asked about Nicki Minaj, Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B, going on to say he didn’t have a favorite since they all rap about the same stuff.

FYI Cardi is the only one who used to dance – Nicki and Meg did not.

Jermaine clears up his statement that was only aimed at the artists he was asked about and did not mean for all this to blow up the way it did. He brought up rumors claiming he’s a sexist which is not true.

Cardi B made a video saying she’s giving the people what they want so she’s gonna keep rapping about what ever she wants. Jermaine points out why Cardi appears to be so bothered since she has heard this complaint before, and that the only reason why his comment is catching headlines since he’s the first big name to publicly voice it.
