Steve Harvey Recalls The ‘Worst Week’ Of His Career

On tonight’s “Comedy Gold Minds with Kevin Hart” SiriusXM channel 96 broadcast, Harvey doesn’t hold back on the now-infamous pageant when he announced the wrong winner’s name. Calling it “the worst week of [his] life” throughout his showbiz career – which led to people throwing rocks with “puta” messages over the gate at his Atlanta home – Harvey went on to explain to Kevin Hart the mix-up wasn’t even his fault.

“They said, we’ll announce the second runner up, and then we’ll have standing there the first runner up, and Miss Universe, and we’ll do it that way. Well, the lady that did the show when Trump owned it, she decided on the night of, after two days of rehearsal, I’m putting the third name on there, and they printed it on the card. Well, in the teleprompter after I announced the second runner up, the teleprompter said, “and the new 2015 Miss Universe is…” The dude in my ear, said, “read the next name on the card, Steve. Hold, hold, hold.” I looked at the next card. I said, “Miss Colombia!” That white boy said “good job, Steve, go to the back.” I go all the way in the back. I’m sitting there. And the black dude that I have doing all my shows came to me and said, “Big dog, you said the wrong name.”” (“Comedy Gold Minds with Kevin Hart”)

Harvey even revealed his shocked reaction to making the cringe mistake.

“I said, “man, the f*ck you talking about? I didn’t say the wrong name, I read the name that was on the f*cking card.” He said, “man, they put a third name on the card.” I said, “B*tch, ain’t nobody told me! Hold up, hold up. No, dog.” I’m really back there cussing. So I said, “I’m going to go out here and fix it.” They said, “no, Steve we’ll straighten it out tomorrow morning in the newspaper.” I said, “that’s bullsh*t, dog. This lady deserves her crown.” I took my stupid a** back out there. I should have let them announce it the next day in the newspaper. I wouldn’t have caught none of the hell I caught.” (“Comedy Gold Minds with Kevin Hart”)

The Comedy Gold Minds with Kevin Hart interview with Steve Harvey premieres tonight at 8pm ET on SiriusXM’s Laugh Out Loud Radio channel 96 (all episodes: It will then become available widely as a podcast on the SiriusXM app, Pandora, Stitcher, and wherever else listeners access their podcasts.

After the initial confusion, Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach came out victorious.

Steve Harvey Can’t Find Anything To Dislike About MBJ

The “Family Feud” host recently said he really couldn’t find anything wrong with fellow Hollywood star Michael B. Jordan – who is currently dating his daughter Lori. Harvey said he was in search of finding something to dislike Jordan over, but now he loves him and went on “The Ellen Show” to publicly praise the Black Panther, Just Mercy and Creed actor.

“You know, I have tried not to like him. I have tried to find something wrong with him that I could dig in and go, ’cause I done got rid of all of them. All of them. Some of them that snuck in the back door on me and lasted a lot longer than I wanted it to. This guy is such a good guy, man. He is one of the nicest guys, man. I’ve met his father. I’ve set up with him, we’ve talked for hours. I just can’t find nothin’ wrong with him.”

Steve Harvey Can’t Give Michael B. Jordan The Crown

Steve Harvey could potentially become the father-in-law of Hollywood actor Michael B. Jordan. The veteran performer shared some thoughts on MBJ in a recent interview.

Steve Harvey was a guest on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and was asked about Michael B. Jordan — his daughter Lori’s new boyfriend — being voted “Sexiest Man Alive” by PEOPLE magazine. Steve disagreed, but all jokes aside, he said he likes Lori’s new boo.

Steve: “Let’s be clear about something: He is a nice guy, but he is not the ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ to me. At all.”

Kimmel: “Who is the sexiest man alive, to you?”

Steve: “Me! All these people I’m paying for? If that ain’t sexy, what is?”

‘Pure Hatred’ For Future + Diddy?

The “Family Feud” host suggested Jordan is the first one of his daughter’s boyfriends to get his approval. Asked if he approved of Lori’s past boyfriends, Steve said, “Nothing ever. Ever. Pure hatred.” FYI, Lori’s real dating history is rumored to include rapper Future, hip-hop icon Diddy, and R&B singer Trey Songz.
