They tried, but COVID-19 and quarantine orders could not stop our entertainment award shows. The 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards is going on as planned (Oct. 27), and some more big names have been added to an already stacked lineup of performers and presenters.
A Star-Studded BET Hip Hop Awards Show
BET announced the additions on Tuesday. Snoop Dogg, T.I. and Monica are going to present awards. Cordae will perform. G Herbo and Trae Tha Truth are going to be recognized for their activism and outreach efforts in the community.
They Will Be Joining…
The list of performers who had already been announced for the show includes Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Big Sean, Gucci Mane, City Girls, Lil Baby, Jhene Aiko, Mulatto, Quavo and Ty Dolla $ign. The show will be co-hosted by comedians Karlous Miller, DC Young Fly and Chico Bean.
Master P To Be Honored
The prestigious “I Am Hip Hop” lifetime achievement award will be presented to Master P. Past winners include LL Cool J, Snoop, Salt-N-Pepa, MC Lyte, KRS-ONE, Lil Wayne and more.

Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion went to her Instagram page to geek out over being nominated for eight BET Hip Hop Awards. Meg acknowledged each nod she received and shouted out her loyal supporters.
