Hip-Hop icons Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre are teaming up with the Los Angeles Philharmonic to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Snoop’s groundbreaking debut album, Doggystyle. The special event, “Snoop Dogg & Friends: 30th Anniversary of Doggystyle,” will occur on June 27th and 28th at the iconic Hollywood Bowl.

Released in 1993, Doggystyle was a commercial and critical success and is widely regarded as one of the greatest hip-hop albums ever. The album was produced by Dr. Dre and featured contributions from several notable artists, including Nate Dogg, Warren G, and Tha Dogg Pound.

For the anniversary shows, Snoop and Dre will be backed by the ReCollective Orchestra, led by Grammy-winning bassist Derrick Hodge. The shows are also produced by Dr. Dre.

The upcoming event is just the latest in recent successes for Snoop and Dre. Dre made headlines when he sold his music catalog for up to $250 million. At the same time, Snoop announced a deal to bring back the Death Row Records catalog to streaming platforms through a partnership with Gamma and blockchain technology.
