Mythodical Joe, the multi-talented artist known for his captivating performances and profound lyricism, is set to revolutionize the hip-hop landscape with his highly anticipated debut album, “Something to Say.” Born Danté Dumas into a military family in Frankfurt, Germany, Joe’s nomadic upbringing and poetic inclinations have shaped his artistic journey.
From a young age, Joe used his poetry to impress others, but it was during his high school years that his words took on a whole new dimension. Experimenting with rhymes over beats at the lunch table, he discovered his true passion for hip-hop. In 2005, Joe’s exceptional talent propelled him to victory in a rap battle hosted by 90.3FM out west, grabbing the attention of local artists. This led him to join the renowned group HGP (Home Grown Productions), where he released two independent albums, “Rules of The Game Vol 1 & 2,” under the pseudonym ‘Small Money.’ Not stopping there, Joe also embarked on a solo endeavor, releasing a critically acclaimed album titled “Two Sides II Every Story.”
In 2019, inspired by a heartfelt conversation with his daughter about the state of contemporary hip-hop, Joe embarked on a transformative journey and adopted the stage name, Mythodical Joe. Fuelled by a burning desire to revive the essence of “old school” hip-hop, he aims to infuse his music with depth, meaning, power, and an inviting vibe that resonates with audiences. Now residing in the City of Angels, Mythodical Joe, an East Coast native, fearlessly delves into subjects close to his heart, delivering lyrics that are both raw and true to life.
