Kendrick’s Cover Reveals Glimpse At Family
Rapper Kendrick Lamar has released the cover art for his album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, which drops this Friday.
The artwork features the “Humble” rapper wearing a white t-shirt and crown of thorns, his back to the camera with a gun tucked into his back. The rapper is holding a toddler, likely his daughter while a woman resembling his fiance Whitney Alford is sitting on the bed holding an infant.
The album cover offers a rare glimpse into Kendrick as a family man. In the photo, the crown evokes the role of a savior and nurturer while the gun tucked quietly into the small of his back reveals him as a fierce protector and defender of his family.
Kendrick The Heart Part 5 Video
Last Sunday, The Grammy award winner gave the fans a new song titled “The Heart Part 5” with a powerful video in which his face morphs into symbols of scandal and condemnation, namely Kobe Bryant, OJ Simpson, Kanye West, Nipsey Hussle, Wll Smith, and Jussie Smollett. The video is being called a “masterpiece.”
The track reflects on gang violence, religion, mental health, and the murder of Nipsey Hussle. Hussle was shot to death in 2019 outside his clothing store in Los Angeles. He is one of many influencers of the “DAMN” artist.
