Ye Sued By Former Employee

Rapper Kanye West was hit with a lawsuit from Dora Szilagyi, a former employee at his company Yeezy, according to a TMZ report.

Dora Szilagyi was hired to be the Director of Product Innovation at Yeezy and presently suing West for $275,000 for breach of contract. The amount is due to Szilagyi not receiving a promised severance payment from West.

Not A Fair Deal

Szilagyi was hired to be the Director of Product Innovation at Yeezy in June 2021, but only after West convinced her to leave her job at Adidas to work for him full-time.

Szilagyi claims she was promised a $275,000 severance payment if she was fired without cause after Sept. 1, 2021, but was never paid after being fired in December 2021. Szilagyi also claimed that West or Yeezy never intended to pay her.

Another former Yeezy employee West has ties with is Bianca Censori, who reportedly married West after he divorced Kim Kardashian in November 2022.

One other rapper that a former employee sued for wrongful termination was Lil Wayne. The “Lollipop” rapper was sued by his former chef, who said Wayne fired her after leaving him and his crew to take care of a family emergency in December 2022.

West has been sued several times in the past year including a case where he was sued for using a copyright for his 2021 song with Andre 3000 called “Life Of The Party.” Ye was also sued by George Floyd’s family after disparaging remarks on his death during an interview on the Drink Champs podcast in October 2022, and went reportedly missing after his former business manager claimed he owed him $4.5 million.

More Bad News For Kanye

West was under fire in October 2022 after he went on a Twitter rant and made statements that were deemed anti-semitic

In the aftermath of his remarks, West would eventually lose business partnerships with fashion giants Balenciaga and Adidas. West also had members of his former legal team make newspaper ads to tell him that they were cutting ties with him.
