In an interview with Complex, Harlem rapper Jim Jones gave his opinion on adults watching anime and other cartoons.
During the interview, Dipset members Jim Jones and Juelz Santana were asked “What Is The G.O.A.T. animated movie?” to which Santana suggested The Lion King. Jones then expressed his opinion that adults, particularly men, should not watch anime or cartoons.
However, his comments were met with criticism on Twitter.
“I stopped watching cartoons when them sh*ts was coming on Saturdays.”
Jones also added that men “Are living in some other sh*t” for watching anime with their ‘homeboys’.”
After making controversial statements about men watching cartoons, rapper Jim Jones was once again roasted on Twitter. This comes after he ranted about the Italian designer brand Gucci being racist in 2022.
The backlash from users included one saying that Jones, 46, was an “unpleasant old head,” while another said Jones is an “old head” that rants about anything modern.
A user even commented “I can’t stand ppl like this,” while another simply called Jones “lame.”
Outside of Jones’ ranting, he paid his respects to the late Memphis rapper Young Dolph along with NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders at his pop-up museum this past January.
