Jeezy Calls Attention To Police Brutality
In the viral video, an army officer by the name of Caron Nazario is shown sitting in his car with his hands raised and a police officer aiming a gun at him. Before long, Nazario is directed to leave his vehicle and can be seen being pushed by officers to the ground with his hands behind his back. Following the incident, Nazario described it as a violent traffic stop that involved him being threatened, knocked down, and pepper-sprayed.
“What part of this is protecting and serving! After you went and fought for the country. It’s like they wanted to take his masculinity to feed egos!! Let’s see what the government do about this. I see no threat, only a man that was confused and understood protocol. He asked the right questions. They didn’t have any answers. Shits break my heart to see a grown man handled like animal. Only in America.”
Jeezy Reveals His Mother Has Been Laid To Rest
In February 2021, Jeezy took to Instagram to mourn his mom (his “Super Hero”) and pour his emotions out. He shared a photo of her casket alongside a video of his mother, and let it be known she had been laid to rest in his tearjerking caption.
“You taught me to be a man when I was a boy. Made me man up be a father when I was a kid. Raised me to be a natural born leader when I was lost. You lifted me when I was down. Inspired me when I had no inspiration. Always told me I was Bigger than my circumstances. My Super Hero. Feared nothing or no one.. No obstacle or set backs. One of the only people in the world I could trust. When I had nothing or no one, I had you Mamma. You was hard on me. I thank you for that. You gave me confidence when I didn’t have any. Made me feel like I can put the world on my back and walk barefoot. You never judged or down talked my dreams. Or my downfalls. You just encouraged. I thank GOD you got a glimpse of the Man and Woman you raised and all the good we gave to world all because you gave it to us. My faith is strong. I know God has you now. We let heaven borrow our Angel. Kiss my brother Michael. Tell em we love him. And to take care of you. You are in a better place. Dancing and singing to your favorite songs. With that beautiful smile on your face…”
Jeezy Celebrates VERZUZ Win Against Gucci Mane
In November 2020, the Snowman took to his Instagram page to geek out over his impressive VERZUZ performance against former rival Gucci Mane. Without needing to say much, Jeezy shared a shot of himself from last night sitting on the throne and admitting he did it for the culture.
“For The Culture.. BIG SNO⛄️‼️ @verzuztv THE RECESSION 2 OUT NOW… link in bio” -Jeezy’s Instagram
Jeezy Disses 50 Cent + Freddie Gibbs
In November 2020, Jeezy directly references his fallout with Indiana rapper Freddie Gibbs in the early 2010’s and also clapped back at recent trolling fired his way from 50.
If One-Five wasn’t my dawg, I would’ve touched them
When that sh*t went down with Gibbs, I couldn’t trust ’em
Invested my hard earn money, tied up my bread
But he gon’ try to tell you I’m flawed, that’s in his head
It’s happening just the way that I said it, good on your own
And if I’m honest nothin’ gangsta about you, leave this alone, yeah And everybody wonderin’ what happened with me and Coach Same sh*t that happened between Tommy and Ghost
The Snowman gets extra personal with 50 by making claims of the rap executive actually having money problems and needing loans from “Power” actor Omari Hardwick.
Since we talkin’ boss talk, let’s address the sucka sh*t
Grown man playin’ on Instagram, real sucka sh*t
Why the f*ck this clown n*gga playin’ with my legacy?
Solid in these streets, that’s some shit that you will never be
Talking ’bout power, but weak n*ggas do the most
In real life, n*gga you really borrow money from Ghost
All that lil’ boy sh*t, yeah it make it evident
Made millions in these streets, what the f*ck is 50 Cent?
