Jazmine Sullivan Cancels LA Show Following COVID-19 Diagnosis
Jazmine Sullivan has been on a roll since the release of her album Heaux Tales and more recently, its deluxe version.
She has since embarked on a Heaux Tales tour and has shared that she is glad to be back on stage.
However, the singer has suffered a minor setback on her grind. On Friday, she shared that she has canceled her upcoming LA show on Feb. 25th after testing positive for COVID-19.
“My doctor confirmed today that I’m positive with COVID,” she tweeted. “I am taking every precaution to isolate myself. I’m truly sad to have to cancel more shows but my health and safety come first for myself, my team, and all of you.”
She added that more tour dates might be canceled.
Fugees Cancel Planned Reunion Tour Due To COVID-19
Covid 19 has also derailed performances from artists eager to get on the road, including The Fugees and Doja Cat.
Three months after the Fugees postponed their much-anticipated reunion tour, the group announced that the tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of their album, The Score, is now officially canceled. Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, and Pras Michel took to Instagram to share a statement that said the poor touring conditions caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is the reason the reunion tour was called off.
Doja Cat shared some disappointing news with her fans back in December. The “Woman” singer has tested positive for COVID-19, forcing her to cancel performances. This is the second time she has revealed she tested positive for the virus since July 2020.
