DMX’s Ex-Wife Reveals His Last Words
Tashera opened up during a People magazine podcast episode, describing how she and the four children she shared with him are dealing with his loss.
“I am torn,” Simmons told Janine Rubenstein. Our children are suffering and trying to get to over that ‘not enough time with their dad’ thing; it’s a tough time. “At the same time,” she adds, “I used to think that this was insensitive to say, but I do believe he is in a better place, just because of the words he left me with. He was never afraid of passing on. And I used to be aggravated with that, but now I understand.” (People)

In April 2021, in an Instagram post, DMX’s fiancée Desiree Lindstrom also paid tribute to him. In the post, Lindstrom included a photo of herself posing by a memorial banner to X. Lindstrom is also seen holding their son, Exodus. In her statement, she spoke to DMX directly, proclaiming she will always ride for him, despite his passing.
