It’s not on the level of famously expensive videos by Michael Jackson and Madonna, but New York rapper Cardi B admits she spent a lot to produce the visual for last summer’s smash hit “WAP.”
WAP Video Cost Cardi B Seven Figures
On Twitter, Cardi revealed the cost of some of her most popular music videos. She said that “WAP” — featuring Megan The Stallion on the track, plus Kylie Jenner and Mulatto in the visual — cost $1 million to make, while the video for her first mainstream hit “Bodak Yellow” was a relatively cheap $15,000.
“Fun fact: Bodak yellow music video cost me 15 thousand dollars .I was in Dubai and I said …. I gotta fly picture (videographer) out here … BOOM BOOM BANG ! Ya know the rest … Money cost 400K, Please me Cost 900K , Wap Cost a M !”
Most Expensive Music Videos In History
In case you were wondering, the most expensive music video of all time is Michael Jackson’s duet with Janet Jackson, “Scream,” which cost $7 million back in 1995. Madonna owns the next three spots with “Die Another Day,” “Express Yourself” and “Bedtime Story,” which ranged between $5 million to 6.1 million. The most expensive rap video is Diddy‘s “Victory” at $2.7 million.

Cardi is a proud mama, but contrary to what the rap rumor mill was saying, she’s not having another baby any time soon. Some fans wondered if the Grammy winner was pregnant after her husband Offset appeared to be placing his hands on her stomach on Instagram.
“Not me posting a picture on IG of Set grabbing my a** cheek and people in the comments thinking he touching a pregnant belly….Sexy mission fail”
