Earlier this week Tierra Whack announced that she will release her debut album, World Wide Whack, in March. Today she has shared a new song from the project titled “Shower Song” alongside a video. Scroll down to check it out now.

“Shower Song” is a funky, sub-90-second song about getting clean and using your time in the bathroom to sing your favorite tunes. Like a lot of Whack’s music, it’s simple enough to feel like it’s existed for decades but so specific to her and her style that it could only have come from one place. The video, meanwhile, is a colorful reminder to make everyday activities something to remember.

Whack first emerged with her visual project Whack World in 2018. She subsequently appeared on the cover of The FADER, released a number of singles over the years, and was featured on “MY POWER” from the Beyoncé-curated soundtrack for 2021’s The Lion King. Also in 2021, she released three EPs: Rap?, Pop?, and R&B?. Her documentary Cypher was released in October 2023, and in November she shared a new song called “Chanel Pit.”
