Timbs as boots? Telfar just made it happen

When I think of NYC fashion, there are a few quintessential pieces that come to mind: Bushwick Birkins and a buttery pair of Timbs.

After decades of coexisting as sartorial classics in their own right, Telfar and Timberland, the brands behind the duo, have finally banded together and remixed their most iconic silhouettes — and this New York-coded collection comes just in time for fall.

Timberland’s new and inaugural collaboration with Telfar puts a spin on the yellow boot — a streetwear staple sported by ’90s hip-hop and R&B legends Nas, Biggie, and Aaliyah, plus many more stars over the decades — in three ways.

Expect a $600 pair of unstructured, over-the-knee boots that are intended to slouch, scrunch, drape, and fold all the way over. If thigh-reaching butters are too much for you, there’s a $350 mid-length version available for maximum comfort that have already worn by Megan Thee Stallion for her annual spooky season post.

Each boot features branding on the inner suede, allowing the wearer to reveal its labeling, if desired. A $225 pair of slip-on loafers cuts away the whole upper of the OG boot, but maintains its double-layered, rubbery outsoles.

The trio of reimagined footwear is sold in two colorways: wheat and black.

But it wouldn’t be a Telfar collab without an assortment of new handbags. This time, the brand has two exclusive releases: a Timb-inspired leather shopper with a Telfar logo burned into its front, and a $700 limited-edition slouchy bag studded with rubber treads, crossbody straps, and a drawstring closure. Both bags are offered in wheat and black, and prices for the shopper start at $225 for small, $350 for medium, and $600 for large.

The Telfar x Timberland collection is now available to shop exclusively at telfar.net and at Telfar’s brick-and-mortar store on 408 Broadway, New York City.
