Markies Conway, the artist who performs under the name Yella Beezy, has been charged with felony capital murder in the death of fellow Dallas rapper Mo3, according to court documents viewed by The FADER. Mo3 (born Melvin A. Noble) was shot and killed on a Dallas freeway on November 11, 2020. Conway was arrested on Thursday (February 20) and remains in prison, with bond set at $2,000,000.
Conway is accused of hiring another individual, Kewon White, to carry out the killing. White was indicted in the murder in February 2021, with a second man, Devin Maurice Brown, charged in April of the same year. The FADER has reached out to Yella Beezy’s representative for comment.
Since his death, Mo3 has seen a number of full-length projects released. His most recent, Legend (Deluxe), came out on May 31, 2024. Yella Beezy’s latest song is the Lil Wayne collaboration “Hit,” shared in August 2024.
