Chet Hanks has shared some insight into his life in a new interview. The sometimes rapper talked about the pros and cons of growing up as the son of his famous dad, actor Tom Hanks, and suggested that he was misguided because he didn’t have a “strong male role model.”

Chet Hanks Opens Up In New Interview
Rapper Chet Hanks, son of Hollywood star Tom Hanks and Rita Heyworth, has made some interesting remarks about his upbringing as the child of celebrities. Though he acknowledges the privileges he enjoyed and the lavish lifestyle, he says that he was impacted by a lot of toxicity because he didn’t have a “strong male figure” in his life.
In his video blog on Youtube, Chet said, “There’s a lot of advantages but sometimes it can be pretty weird. I got to do a lot of cool s**t that a lot of people don’t get the opportunity to do. My experience was even more complicated because on top of fame already being toxic, I wasn’t even famous – I was just the son of somebody famous… and that created a lot of contempt (from haters). I didn’t have a strong male role model to say, ‘fuck them,’ their just jealous.”
Because of this, Hanx said he was led down a destructive path into his twenties, filled with “partying, drugs, alcohol and substances.” Instead of following in his parents’ footsteps, Chet made a name for himself as a rapper, producing sexually explicit music and raunchy videos, including his 2021 single, DAMN.
The “White Boy Summer” artist, who goes by the stage name “Chet Hanx” also jumped into a few rap beefs, including a 2020 fray with Tekashi69 where he blasted 69 for snitching saying, “I’d rather be broke and be able to go where I Like and do as I please than have 100 Billion and have to live in hiding with 24/7 security team….”

Chet had previously called Tekashi 69 a snitch and started a beef between the two. Instead of going on a roasting session, Tekashi 6ix9ine took a different approach to clapping back at Chet Hanks. Tekashi ignored the direct shade and sent prayers to his Hollywood star dad Tom Hanks after he recently contracted the coronavirus disease.

Chet Hanks also recently shot his shot at the singer Lizzo. Chet Hanks knows an opportunity when he sees one when it comes to l-o-v-e. The 30-year-old actor seized the chance to shoot his shot at Grammy-winning rapper Lizzo after she made headlines for revealing flirtatious DMs sent to Hollywood actor Chris Evans while under the influence.
