New York rapper Nicki Minaj and Cardi B appear ready to officially bury the hatchet. The hip-hop pair – and publicized rap rivals – have sparked social media’s attention with buzz about a new collaboration called “Lavish” being in the works.
Nicki Minaj and Cardi B’s Lavish Reunion
According to online chatter, the duo’s new song is called “Lavish” and will do much more than live up to the hype. An audio clip has made its rounds across the Internet appearing to feature both Nicki and Cardi’s vocals.
According to rumors, Cardi B and Nicki Minaj are currently working on a collaboration with a song called “Lavish.” While there is no concrete proof (yet), the “WAP” singer recently took to Twitter to tease an upcoming collab that is sure to make people mad. And well, unless it’s Offset, Nicki seems like the most obvious guess. (The Loop)
Cardi B Teases The Possibility
While it’s easy to believe social media could have created a mesh of both Cardi and Nicki’s vocals, B helped ignite some more speculation. The Bronx native went to her Twitter page to hint at having a “sick” and potentially mind-blowing collaboration coming.
“Since ya mad ..imma give ya something mad to be about …..This next single and coll- ….Gonna have ya sick ….since ya here ????” -Cardi B’s Twitter
Nicki Minaj and Cardi B’s Past Feud
In mid-2018, both Nicki and Cardi made headlines for confronting each other in violent fashion at a fashion event. B later came forward to slam gossip publication TMZ in a since-deleted Instagram post about trying to pit her against Minaj.
“Dear TMZ …ya constantly got me in ya blog spreading fake s–t about me without doing ya research and even when we tell ya is not true ya still push it,” Cardi wrote on Instagram in a post she later deleted. “Ya motherf–kers need to get off my dick and start reporting about them actresses ya used to report about cause I’m not the one to f–k with THANK YOU!! Btw in REAL news my single ‘Money’ drops November 26!!” (E! Online)
It Was A Good, B
Prior to their fallout, both Cardi and Nicki shared microphone time and appeared in Migos‘ “Motorsport” music video in 2017. However, Minaj later said Migos forced her to redo her bars because she took subliminal shots at B.
