Mo took to Instagram to share the exciting news five years after her original comedy special offer.
She has finally come to terms with the popular streaming service, and the anticipated comedy special is underway.
In the video, Mo’Nique can be seen in all smiles as she shares the unexpected news.
“Can y’all believe this Sh*t I done came on home to Netflix. I’m so excited to share that I’ll be shooting my first Netflix comedy special.”
The Baltimore comedian announced she would also be starring in Lee Daniels’ upcoming film “The Deliverance” after their 13-year feud ended earlier this year.
“Oh and in case you didn’t hear. I’m also reuniting with my friend, my brother, director Mr. Lee Daniles on the Netflix film The Deliverance. You don’t want to miss either of them so y’all stay tuned my sweet babies.”
No release date was announced.
Mo’Nique Reportedly Settles Discrimination Lawsuit With Netflix
Mo’Nique continues to win, last month Mo settled her lawsuit against Netflix after claiming the streaming service refused to negotiate with her for a proposed 2017 comedy special.
She accused the company of discrimination and making a low offer.
Michael Parks told the Hollywood Reporter, “The matter has been amicably resolved.” Netflix has not made a comment.
According to court filings, both sides decided to dismiss the issue. The terms of the deal are currently unknown.
In 2018, Monique boycotted Netflix after they refused to negotiate a $500,000 offer for a one-hour comedy special. She claimed Netflix underpays Black women and dealt with other comedians who are paid 26 times more than her.
