Lil Jon Threatens Lawsuit Against Live Nation

Lil Jon is threatening to sue Live Nation over the “Lovers & Friends” Festival, which is expected to occur on May 6th. The upcoming concert is using the same moniker as his 2004 song with Usher and Ludacris but does not include him in the lineup.

Despite Lil Jon’s efforts to reach out and negotiate a solution since May 2022, when the last festival was held, he received no response. It appears Live Nation marketed the concert as presented by R&B singer Usher for his star power since he currently has a residency in Las Vegas.

Attorney Statement

The “Bia Bia” producer’s attorney, Ed McPherson, compared having  “Lovers and Friends” without Lil Jon to a version of “Don’t Stop Believin’” performance without Journey or a “Cheeseburger In Paradise” rendition without Jimmy Buffett.”
