R&B singer Keyshia Cole is letting bygones be bygones, but her family isn’t. After reuniting with hip-hop veteran O.T. Genasis during her Verzuz battle against Ashanti, not everybody was pleased.
Keyshia Cole’s Sister Goes Off
Keyshia Cole’s sister Elite Noel went online with a video expressing how she felt about the entire situation. Noel admitted she wasn’t having their reunion after O.T.’s comments about their mother’s substance abuse struggles back in 2019.
“Let me just tell y’all where it went left, for me. ‘Cause you know, I’m motherf*ckin’ Keyshia ’til the day I d-i-motherf*ckin’-e. When you let a n*gga hug you that got on the internet jokin’ about sellin’ yo mama motherf*ckin’ crack, that’s when I gotta take a step back. B*tch, that’s a no-go for me. You can’t touch me, you can’t breathe on me, you can’t—I don’t give a f*ck about what none of y’all gotta say. Don’t touch me if you brag about or laugh about sellin’ my motherf*ckin’ mama—the b*tch who birthed us…the reason y’all got Keyshia is ’cause Frankie didn’t give up.”
The Internet Reacts To Keyshia Cole + O.T. Genasis Reunion
The Internet reacted with a lot of dismay towards Noel. The general public consensus was that everybody wanted all parties involved to move on from the past and to just show love.
“Keyshia Cole’s sister needs to sit tf down.. Forgiveness is good for the soul and a lot of people need to realize that!!”

Cole is getting her fans super excited. The popular crooner has announced plans to drop her new “I Don’t Want To Be In Love” single just in time for Valentine’s Day. Cole went to her Twitter page to break the news to fans. Barring any setbacks or delays, her new anthem will arrive in early February.

Following two COVID-19-related delays, Ashanti and Keyshia Cole were finally able to film their VERZUZ battle, which was originally slated for December 12. The first postponement was announced after Ashanti tested positive for the virus. The second delay was in response to rising COVID numbers in the nation, as well as the recent unstable events in Washington D.C. Tonight, the singers finally went head-to-head in a battle of the hits. Both Ashanti and Cole played new songs, as well. Following the VERZUZ match, Ashanti released a new song called “235 (2:35 I Want You).” (Pitchfork)
Keyshia Cole Brings OT Genasis Out
Cole nearly crashed the Internet with a huge Verzuz cameo. Keyshia started up her unforgettable “Love” anthem and moments later, her perceived rap rival O.T Genasis hopped onto the screen as they both laughed and crooned a portion of his Crip-themed version.
O.T. Genasis makes an unexpected and well-received cameo during the Verzuz battle between Ashanti and Keyshia Cole. Cole showed the world they’re on solid terms after appearing to clash in late 2019 when he released his Crip-inspired “Love” remix.
