In the years preceding October’s Very Own(OVO), Nothing Was the Same, and even “Hotline Bling,” Drake was still making a name for himself in the rap game. One of his earliest gigs was the opening act for former NWA member Ice Cube.
According to screenshots of a 2006 invoice from Instagram user @theflyervault, the Certified Lover Boy was paid $100 for his efforts. The invoice soon made its way back to the now 4-time Grammy winner.
Drizzy confirmed by taking to his Instagram story, stating, “This is for anybody getting 100 a show right now… Keep going.”
