The Grammy award-winner celebrated being in the music industry for 20 years and now being an author to the book “My Name Is A Story.”
Ashanti mentioned in the interview she recalls being bullied and had a little bit of a difficult time having a different name than the normal names and would like to share the uniqueness of her name in her book.
She wants kids to embrace their names.
She always enjoyed story time while she worked at a daycare center, that she thought of making a book herself. She was mesmerized by how captivated the kids were by telling a story.
Ashanti also celebrated 20 years in the music industry.
The difference now is that she owns her master and can own her music which she’s been in the booth, and has new music to be expected this year.
GMA surprised her with a pandora plaque with over 2 billion streams welcoming her to the billionaire club.
