Donald Trump Celebrates COVID-19 Successful Vaccine
This week, the head of state went to his Twitter page to break the massive news. Although he didn’t pinpoint an exact date, Donald Trump promised a vaccine is soon coming.
“STOCK MARKET UP BIG, VACCINE COMING SOON. REPORT 90% EFFECTIVE. SUCH GREAT NEWS!” -Donald Trump’s Twitter
The Big Vaccine Announcement
Heading into last weekend, drug company Pfizer announced a hugely successful vaccine is being produced with German company BioNTech. The potential cure is reportedly 90 percent effective in preventing COVID-19 during its final stage of clinical tests.
Pfizer’s data has not been peer reviewed, and it still needs to do more work to prove the safety of the vaccine. But the announcement was a major step in the fight to stop the virus, which has killed more than 1.2 million people, put billions of people under lockdown, and hammed the global economy. Pfizer said it planned to apply for emergency approval for the vaccine, though it is not clear how long that process would take. (Business Insider)
Kanye West Had COVID-19
Recently, reality TV star Kim Kardashian delivered a massive shocker to the world. The popular entertainer revealed her husband Kanye West had a brief spell with COVID-19 in February 2020.
“Kanye had it way at the beginning, when nobody really knew what was going on. It was so scary and unknown. I had my four babies and no one else in the house to help. I had to go and change Kanye’s sheets and help him get out of bed when he wasn’t feeling good. It was a challenge because it was so unknown. Changing his sheets with gloves and a face shield was really a scary time. … I’m the type of person that respects the process, that respects what’s going on in the world. Maybe our planet needed a break – maybe we all needed a break. Maybe this was the reset? I try to look at it that way.” (Grazia)
