Grammy-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar is back-back. The hip-hop superstar’s mighty return to the spotlight comes courtesy of rap veteran Busta Rhymes‘ new “Look Over Your Shoulder” anthem.
Kendrick Lamar Returns
Busta Rhymes hit the green light on letting the must-hear K. Dot song loose. The track opens with a sample of late pop icon Michael Jackson‘s “I’ll Be There” before Lamar takes over with his hard-hitting lyrics.
Prior to the big unveiling, Busta teased fans about the song’s mighty premiere.

TDE President Teases Kendrick Lamar’s Album
Top Dawg Entertainment president Punch recently answered some fan questions on Twitter about his top artist. Asked, of course, when Kendrick Lamar’s next album is coming out, Punch said “pretty soon.” Asked to clarify if that meant sometime in 2020, all he’d give is “soon soon.”
What Has Kendrick Been Up To?
Fans have been eagerly anticipating something new from KL since his 2017 album Damn. The Grammy Award-winning MC had a small TV acting role on “Power” since then, and he spotted in his native California during social justice protests over the summer.
Punch Teased Kendrick’s Return Months Ago
For what it’s worth, Punch said the same thing he’s saying now back in May. In the meantime, if you’re craving any material from the TDE fam, remember that REASON dropped his album New Beginnings this month.
“Stay patient king Kendrick will return soon.” – Punch
