Houston rapper Scarface has major news he’s dishing out to fans eager to help his medical condition. The hip-hop veteran has announced he’s in the process of getting a kidney transplant and reacted to fans coming through for him.
Scarface Gives Huge Kidney Updates
Face Mob went to his Twitter page to let followers know he must wait a few months to find out if he’s a solid candidate for a transplant. He also announced blood type doesn’t play a part in who can donate.
“I’ve started the process to get a kidney transplant, I appreciate the love! it should take me 2-3 months to see if I’m a good candidate, in the meantime you stay healthy, the list will open shortly there after and we can discuss who’s a match.. again I appreciate that y’all.. … Just found out blood type don’t matter if you are a donor they will match me with my kidney in exchange so anyone can be a donor, can’t thank y’all enough” -Scarface’s Twitter

Scarface Tests Positive For COVID-19
Face recently battled a coronavirus infection and ultimately pulled through. However, the rap star later suffered kidney failure in April during the COVID-19 battle and in June said his kidneys never fully recovered.
“COVID attacked my lungs first, and then it attacked my kidneys and knocked them out,” he told the outlet. “I got full lung recovery, but my kidneys never came back … I’m still a little weak. I don’t have a lot of strength in my legs yet. I still haven’t got full taste back and sense of smell yet. But I am glad to be alive.” (NY Post)
Hip-Hop Supports Face Mob
In March 2020, UGK’s Bun B and Slim Thug went to their Instagram pages to speak out. In addition to wishing Face well, they also made sure to let fans know the COVID-19 spread was real and not to be taken lightly.
“He’s a friend, OG, big brother, collaborator and then some. This almost killed him. It’s not a joke y’all. He’s got a wife and little girl at home. Ain’t nobody getting paid to say they have this from what I see. But some won’t take it serious until it hits close to home. Stay safe. Get well soon @brothermob” -Bun B
“Y’all still think it’s fake???? Go to @williedlive page and watch the whole video Prayers for my bro @brothermob ??????” -Slim Thug
