Saweetie (And Mom) Storm The Billboard Women In Music Awards
Saweetie did not come to play. Not only did the Icy Girl rock the stage at the annual Billboard Women in Music Awards, she was also honored with the heroic ‘Game Changer’ award. Her mom, Trinidad Valentin, a proud Filipina, had the honor of presenting the Oakland-born artist with the award. Fans are saying Valentin stole the show.
Lola Brooke Returns With New Vibes
Lola Brooke is once again putting in Work. The Brooklyn Princess popped out with another hit, “On My Mind” and it’s strictly for the ladies. And yes, her smooth, distinct New York sound is here to stay. However, this new slow jam shows a different side of the Bed-Stuy baddie that we didn’t know we needed. [And the new haircut is fire sis!]
Omeretta The Great, Latto, Sevyn Streeter, Lady London, Doja Cat and Ma’ya Boss Up
Up and coming rapper Omeretta the Great ruffled plenty of feathers across the nation with her latest song “Sorry Not Sorry.” The controversial track written by the Atlanta-born artist caused rumored beef with southern belle rapper, Latto. Instead of beefing, the two spun the situation by dropping the “Sorry Not Sorry” remix. Latto repped her hometown of Clay County, Georgia – better known as “Clayco” – and poked fun at Operetta’s “not Atlanta” hit saying, “We only tell tourists that we from Atlanta”.
Sevyn Streeter showed up and showed out on the red carpet at the Billboard Women in Music Awards. The R&B singer-songwriter showed off her legs wearing an On Aura Tout Vu dress. Sevyn recently released the deluxe version of her sophomore album “Drunken Wordz Sober Thoughtz.”
Rapper Lady London also blew fans away on the red carpet while attending the Billboard Women in Music Awards. The Boss Lady was styled in Mugler attire from head to toe and recently deemed as one of Billboards artist to watch in 2022.
Doja Cat has been in her bag lately, with the premiere of her new video “Freaky Deaky” Featuring Tyga. The pop star is set to go on tour with The Weeknd. She was recently listed as the only female on the annual Forbes list of top hip hop earners.
YouTube couple Ma’ya and Mare’keis “cheating prank” video is summing how we feeling this week. The viral TikTok shows Mare’keis in their home dressing up a mannequin to look like a side chick. Ma’ya walks in and her reaction can make a badass bitch cry. She goes into gangster mode, leaping over a chair into the air while punching Mare’keis and kicking the mannequin in the head at the same damn time!
Have a kick-ass weekend, yall!
