Cardi B Fearful Of Her Life After Comments On Ukraine/Russia Conflict
Cardi B is no stranger to using her platform to speak passionately about justice and current issues happening in society. She recently took to Twitter to share with her fans her views on the war being waged against Ukraine by President Vladimir Putin of Russia.
Putin proceeded with military action against Ukraine yesterday in spite of world condemnation and warnings of severe sanctions by the United States. The Russian forces were deployed throughout the country after a buildup of troops over several weeks that was documented across the world media and condemned by US President Joe Biden.
Cardi B, who has spoken out about social and political issues in the past, made a video and posted to Twitter urging world leaders that war is not a solution.
She said, “Wish these world leaders stop tripping about power and really think about whose really getting affected (citizens) besides the whole world is in a crisis.”
“War, sanctions, invasions should be the last thing these leaders worry about,” Cardi added.
Cardi B also mentioned that she couldn’t disclose all of her thoughts in fear for her safety.
“I actually want to say a lot of things, but I’m just gonna mind my business because sometimes, I feel like I have such a big platform that if I don’t say the right things, I might get killed.”
Though she has safety concerns, she did elaborate on her thoughts on what’s going on politically around the world.
“I’m really not on NATO’s side, I’m really not on the Russian side, I’m actually on the citizens’ side, because at the end of the day, the world is having a crisis right now,” she said.
“This inflation is not only in America, but everywhere in the world! It’s really hard to get the economy back up. There is so much shipments and embarkments backed up, China’s not really messing with us, so a lot of things are behind, a lot of goods are behind, and this s–t just made it a lot more complicated, so I’m just really annoyed by this.”
She ended by saying, “And I really wish all world leaders right now, just really come to the logical conclusion, but whatever.”
Cardi B recently used her platform to advocate for justice in the case of a black woman who suspiciously died after going on a date with a man she met on the internet.
Cardi B’s demands for justice in the death of a Black woman in Connecticut who died after a date with a White man were heard. The rapper took to Twitter to express her frustration with how the police and media have handled the investigation. The death was originally called an accident but is now under criminal investigation thanks to the rapper’s spotlight.
Cardi Says Tasha Better Pay Up
The Grammy-winning rapper has also been fighting her own personal battles, recently winning a $4 Million judgment in a slander case in court against gossip blogger, Tasha K.
Gossip blogger Tasha K may have lost the slander lawsuit brought against her by Cardi B, but she’s making it very clear she has no intention of paying the $4 Million the rapper is owed. The “Unwine With Tasha K” Youtube blogger, Latasha Kebe, recently joked in an interview that she doesn’t have any money to pay Cardi B and plans to appeal the court’s decision.
