New York’s Power 105.1 is headed into a new season of radio. Angela Yee, one of the longtime co-hosts of the popular radio show “The Breakfast Club,” announced that she would be departing the show.

Angela Yee sent fans into a frenzy when she took to Twitter to make the unexpected announcement.
Many fans speculated that “The Breakfast Club” ended after she tweeted:
“The breakfast club as you know it is officially over.”
However, the iconic show, which has been in production for over a decade, is here to stay.
In addition to the news, Yee announced that she would continue her radio hosting career, leaving “The Breakfast Club” to pursue her own nationally syndicated radio show.
The show, “Way Up With Angela Yee” is set to premiere this fall.
The radio personality will close out her time with co-hosts DJ Envy and Charlemagne Tha God for at least a month.
She will also continue to host her podcast “Lip Service.”
Charlamagne Tha God Takes The L + Apologizes To Kwame Brown
“The Breakfast Club” has plenty of iconic moments.
Last year, Hip-hop radio host Charlamagne tha God was humbled after going back and forth with retired NBA player Kwame Brown.
Charlamagne was contrite in apologizing to Brown for their previous exchange on the show that turned real personal fast.
