This is Lorelei tags in Snail Mail for “Two Legs” rework

Nate Amos is one of the most prolific and beloved songwriters in the indie rock world right now. He is part of the groups Water From Your Eyes and My Idea and also releases solo material as This Is Lorelei. Box for Buddy, Box for Star, This Is Lorelei’s 2024 album, was named one of The FADER’s favorite projects of last year and is now getting the deluxe treatment. We have already heard a version of “Dancing In The Club” featuring MJ Lendermann and today brings an updated take on “Two Legs” made in collaboration with Lindsey Jordan a.k.a Snail Mail.

“When the idea of a deluxe edition with covers/collabs first came up the literal first thought I had was ‘I gotta get Lindsey to sing Two Legs’,” Amos said in a statement. “I’ve loved Snail Mail ever since Water From Your Eyes had a chance to tour with them so it was a joy to hear Lindsey bless the song like this,” says Amos.

Jordan, meanwhile, added “Within the last few years, following Nate’s projects, I have come to the conclusion he is the best songwriter of our generation as well as a great guy. Getting to do vocals on this was such a treat because I got to listen to it over and over again.”

This Is Lorelei is playing a bunch of headline dates this summer, including a newly announced show at New York’s Knockdown Center on July 19. There’s a great opening bill for the show, with Greg Freeman, FearDorian, and Dirt Buyer all set to play live. Tickets for the Knockdown Center show will be available on Friday April 25 at 10am local time.
