Splice teams up with GRAMMY®-nominated Producer of the Year, Alissia

Music creation platform Splice recently announced its partnership with producer, writer and DJ Alissia. Releasing a series of six curated sample collections called “Alissia Selects”, the partnership will also see the producer putting Splice and Studio One Pro to work in a new demo, and feature a contest for new creators on the Splice Discord.

Known for her work alongside artists like Bruno Mars, Mary J. Blige, Anderson .Paak, and 21 Savage, Alissia’s innovative approach has made her one of the industry’s go-to names for funk-tinged R&B and pop; even landing her on funk legend Bootsy Collins’ 2017 album, World Wide Funk. Now, she’s breaking ground as only the 9th woman to receive a GRAMMY® nomination for Producer of the Year, non-classical.

The multi-instrumentalist recently teamed up with Splice to show the creative utility of Splice’s integration into Studio One’s Pro 7, navigating its ability to use a wide-ranging catalog of sounds directly inside Studio One. “Splice has always been a great tool when I create,” said Alissia. “I’m very excited to have partnered with them and to share these collections of curated sounds, and I hope it will inspire others!”

Each collection in “Alissia Selects” will show off the producer’s signature style, featuring a range of guitar, key, and percussion samples from across the platform. Specifically, it will feature sounds included in other packs curated by women like Syd, We Make Noise, Mamii, and Bryn Bliska. “Alissia is a fantastic role model for our community, not just a great producer and instrumentalist but also someone who knows their way around Splice,” said Kenny Ochoa, Splice’s Senior Vice President of Content. “ We wish her all the best for the Grammys and we’re excited to see how Splice fans engage with this work.”

Working primarily as a producer since releasing her own single “Get Away” back in 2017, 2025 will see Alissia finally bring her artistry back to the forefront with the release of her own project. Next year, she’ll also curate “Alissia and Friends”, yet-to-be-released collections from women that represent the future of modern music.
